Paralegal Volunteers Bolster Grassroots Response to Gender-Based Violence

To strengthen community responses to Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in the Bangsamoro region, 35 community volunteers completed anti-VAWC Paralegal advanced training with a focus on documentation, case reporting, and survivor support. The workshop was also attended by 28 social workers from the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD). Read More Here!

The Southwest Florida Paralegal Association will hold their CLE dinner meeting on October 15, 2025. This course will discuss common legal privacy concepts found in the US legal landscape. Attendees will learn some of the most prevalent legal definitions under federal and state laws, and some commonalities and differences. A survey conducted by TopResume confirmed that a job candidate’s thank-you note (or lack thereof) impacts their chances of landing a job. When asked, “After interviewing a candidate, does receiving a thank-you email/note impact your decision-making process?” 68 percent of hiring managers and recruiters replied that yes, it matters. In fact, nearly one in five interviewers have completely dismissed a candidate because they didn’t receive a thank-you email or note after an interview. Read More ».
