Carroll County Paralegal Charged for Unauthorized Practice of Law.

A Carroll County Paralegal has been charged with violations the Maryland Consumer Protection Act for the unauthorized practice of law. The Maryland Office of the Attorney General (OAG) on December 8th charged Intrepid Paralegal Solutions (IPS) and its owner, Daniel Dwight Manoff, with unfair and deceptive trade practices for providing unauthorized legal services to pro se litigants and for deceptive billing practices. For U.S. veteran Jhakeil Jackson, the path from active duty to civilian employment began with a single opportunity: the Department of War (DoW) SkillBridge program. Small L.A. Law Firm that Grew Into a Powerhouse is Drawing Scrutiny

Sereen Banna said the partners of Downtown LA Law Group called her “Erin Brockovich” for her work helping hundreds sue over noxious fumes spewing out of a landfill in northern Los Angeles County. An ambitious Paralegal, Banna said she embraced the role she had in empowering residents to take on companies suspected of polluting their neighborhoods. In early 2024, Banna said, she discovered a troubling trend in some of the firm’s most lucrative cases: Clients who claimed they were paid before joining lawsuits. Read more here»
